Below are select projects from my time as a Creative Producer at Imprint Projects (NYC).
This project was the development of an engagement program to launch Levi’s Commuter 2014 collection. Three-month long venues were established in Brooklyn, Los Angeles, and London with a goal of serving as communal workspaces with resources for cyclists. Levi’s Commuter Workspaces hosted talks with urban planners, think tanks, and bicycle designers to engage with the theme of bicycle commute within urban society and infrastructure, as well as fifty-two special events including workshops, performances, artist collaborations, group rides, and friendly competitions (goldsprints!). Workspaces were open daily and offered free bike tune-ups, on-site tailoring, coffee, and wi-fi.
As one of the two creative producers on the project I contributed to the creative branding and strategy, artist collaborations, partnerships, and led the full scope of the project budget at large (NY, LA, London). I helped build the programming, exhibition and event designs, special event production, local team management, daily workshop production of the Brooklyn location.
NY Launch - Alternative Apparel
Imprint Projects announced Alternative Apparel's first store in NYC with outdoor art installations, community-driven programming and a launch party. The goal of the project was to introduce the brand’s core values of social responsibility and creativity through its sustainable production of its fabric, from the clothing to the operations. To ground its dedication to “fabric first” in its new community the Alternative Apparel’s “common thread” we collaborated with local artist, Andrew Lyon, for designing string interventions attached to wild postings throughout Manhattan and Williamsburg, and a large-scale sculptural piece was created on the building's SoHo facade for the opening event.
As the lead creative producer, I developed the project strategy, facilitated outreach and managed strategic relations with artists, clients, partners, and vendors, created proposals, planning documents. Developed and managed timelines, budgets, contracts, client requests, and tracked content and design. Orchestrated and produced installations, launch events, creative activations, and temporary spaces. Provided documentary photography and basic design work.
To launch the Levi’s Vintage Clothing Orange Tab Collection – designs resurrected from the 60's and 70's – we traveled back in time to give today’s fans the chance to relive the sound and style of the golden era of rock n’ roll. As the lead creative producer on this project, I produced the KLVC Orange Tab Radio, a 24-hour online radio station complete with on-period DJ hosts and special guest sets, a call-in line, talk segments, commercials and station announcements and managed all elements of a cross-country promotional tour including launch events and photoshoots in the Ace Hotel. I participated in off-site production coordination of two promo videos for the radio station and the Party in Your Pants Tribute Band Music Festival in Topanga Canyon, and a fictional publication Zipper Magazine.
This project was strategically interesting: we focused on developing a fictional narrative not as a form of nostalgia, but to engage with the meaning of reproduction while remaining in the contemporary. The promo tour spanned over 10 different urban environments where the promo tour ambassadors drove This was most alive in its play with new and old technologies, particularly developed in the partnership with Impossible film, intricacies of employing vintage Gremlin and Jeep vehicles from coast-to-coast, use of in-store phone lines for direct radio call-ins and use of recording devices and radios with online-streaming in moving through urban spaces, the social media campaign on Instagram, and online radio develop and shifting role of the DJ vs. DJ personalities in the economy of radio production, and training brand ambassadors in moving between current brand reality and narrative.
Product of New York - PONY
Imprint Projects' Spring campaign for PONY presented an iconic New York legacy brand in a contemporary light in a video Look Book and ad campaign. Director Felipe Lima and photographer Michael Schmelling captured a day in the real lives of three independent New York creatives. The imagery appeared on billboards, buses, and trains around the city.
I played a key role in the project strategy and pitch, casting, project management and shoot production.
